today was a slow day. elena was quite crispy from our tanning adventure yesterday, so today she opted to hang out on our hammock at the bungalow and relax her sore skin. poor girl...
brittney and i, however, decided to venture into the unknown and make for another swimable beach. we went to what our budget book proclaims as, being the islands most celebrated beach, hat cheong mon. we eventually found our way after looking with no luck for a rental bike, and finally climbed into the local bus for our beach.
we made it, and it has become our most treasured and favorite beach experience of our life. the ocean was amazing, the sand soft and sweet, the water clear and temperature perfect. the clouds were nonstop awesome, and the sun was turned up all the way!

tomorrow we leave for ko phagan, a larger and more visited island. here's to hoping elena can join us, with more sunscreen applications, once again on da beeeach!
